The NICE ‘Food allergy and anaphylaxis’ e-learning tool is available on the NICE e-learning website (click here to access the course details directly). There are four sections:

Section 1 - Understanding the quality standards on food allergy and anaphylaxis. In this section focuses on quality standards and guidelines relating to food allergy and anaphylaxis..
Section 2 - Taking an allergy-focused clinical history and the use of tools to aid the diagnosis of food allergy. This section will consider history taking and assessments that are done in primary care relating to the diagnosis of food allergy, and the use of validated tools to support this topic. Videos and clinical histories are used to support the learning in this section.
Section 3 - Referral criteria for food allergy and anaphylaxis. This section considers the different referral pathways available for clinicians in relation to both food allergy and anaphylaxis.
Section 4 - Demonstration of the adrenaline device. This section demonstrates the best practice guidance in relation to adrenaline devices and how you can support your patients.

The training is applicable to all healthcare professionals working with patients with allergy and anaphylaxis.
