The NWPAN has had a regional database for a number of years. It allows the Network to collect anonymised patient data on referral patterns, diagnosis, management and outcome via a password protected web-based e-form system developed by Professor Colin Lumsden. In May 2018, an Integrated Dashboard went live, allowing real time review of patient workload across the region; from Lancaster in the North to Macclesfield in the South, again thanks to our Network member Colin Lumsden. Colin has recently been made Professor of Medical Education at the University of Manchester for his efforts in using e-technology in medical student education and assessment. His contribution to the Network has allowed our Children’s Allergy Service in the North West of England to stay at the forefront of allergy care for children.
