A report published in the Sept-Oct 2019 issue of the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology In Practice by Lynn Kassel et al has shown that auto-injectors with up to 6 months past labelled expiration date maintained 100% of adrenaline. Auto-injectors 1 year after labelled expiration date showed at least 95% drug content. All auto-injectors up to 30 months beyond their labelled expiration dates have shown 90% drug content. If your auto-injector has expired and you or your child experience anaphylaxis – use the pen! Don’t forget to always also call 999. Click here for more details.
