Do you think your child has an allergy?
Talk to your GP, health visitor or practice nurse. They are your first port of call.
More than half of children who are thought to have an allergy to foods or medicines don’t! Labelling a child with allergy when they are fine makes their life and your life more difficult. It’s important to get the diagnosis right. If they don’t have an allergy – great – be reassured and move on.
Does your child suffers from allergy symptoms affecting their life that are not controlled with simple medicines and avoidance?
Get your child referred to a paediatrician with an interest in allergy. Our Paediatric Allergy Network of health care professionals spans the whole of the North West of England. We also work with colleagues in North Wales to help support children there.
